Question 15 - Marriage in Millennial Kingdom
As in all of our Blogsites, we ask our Readers to please say a prayer asking for God's Spirit to be your only guide as we continue. Thank You SO much!
If the Reader is a Pre-Trib Pastor, this is one of those questions that members of your congregation have asked many times. It seems most everyone wants to believe there'll be marriage in Heaven and the New Earth, and throughout eternity. Pre-Trib probably believes there will be no marrying among those who have received their glorified bodies and gone to Heaven, the question we will address here will be about the thousand year Kingdom that Pre-Trib says will be here on earth. If the Reader is familiar with our other Blogsites, you know that we believe the Bible is very clear in teaching there will be no Millennial Kingdom here on this earth.
Jesus addressed the subject of marriage and completely answered the Question. Pre-Trib says that those accounted worthy to obtain (enter) the Millennial Kingdom, the next age, will be mortals and will be, marrying, giving in marriage, and bearing children. Pre-Trib says that the words from Jesus concerning no marriage in the next age applies only to the, "Raptured" people, and not to the Millennial Kingdom people. Before we look at what Jesus said, let's look at what Paul wrote about the Kingdom of God: "Now this I say, brethren, that Flesh and Blood (Mortals) cannot inherit the Kingdom of God; neither doeth corruption inherit incorruption" (1Cor.15:50).  Pre-Trib might say that here Paul is referring only to Raptured people, but, Pre-Trib says when the Bible speaks about the Kingdom of God, it is referring to a Millennial Kingdom here on this earth, inhabited with mortals. Now let's look quickly at what Jesus said in Matthew 25 concerning the Sheep and Goats. Pre-Trib says Christ's parable/prophecy about the Sheep and Goats is addressing the beginning of the Millennial Kingdom. Jesus said, "And these (the Goats - the Lost wicked) shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous (the Sheep) into life eternal" (Matt.25:46). So, if we accept Pre-Trib's interpretation of this parable, the people, "Sheep," entering the Millennium have received their immortal bodies. Explaining this "life eternal," phrase describing the "Sheep," is one of those questions in need of Pondering for Pre-Trib Promoters. Paul and Jesus tell us that only those who are in their glorified, immortal, bodies enter God's Kingdom. Now let's look at what Jesus said about marriage in the next age:

Jesus said, "But they who shall be ACCOUNTED WORTHY to obtain that world (age), and the resurrection from the dead, NEITHER MARRY, nor are given in marriage, neither can they die any more [no longer mortals]; for they are equal with the angels, and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection" (Lk.20:35-36). Didn't Jesus clear up any and all questions about Marriage, Mortals, and Death in the Next Age?

Again, if the Reader is a Pastor, no doubt you've studied this question many times. You also know that' in the Scofield Study Bible, the word, "world" is replaced with the word, "age." You know that this is correct because in the original language, when Jesus said, "accounted worthy to obtain that world," He was referring to the next age, or time frame, not another world or planet. The next, "age," or time frame, will be the Millennial Age. Have you pondered how it is that Jesus said there'll be no marrying in the next age, yet Pre-Trib says there will be?

How to Solve the Question
The way to solve this is to simply accept all that Jesus said about what happens when He comes. He said, "In My Father's house are many mansions (rooms)....I go to prepare a place for you....I will come again and receive you unto Myself that where I am, there ye may be also" (Jn.14:1-30! If when Jesus comes, He takes all of His saved people to His Father's House, Heaven, and all of the lost wicked that have refused to accept Him as Savior are, "destroyed by the brightness of His coming," and the Saved, "live and reign with Christ a thousand years" (Rev.20:4), in their heavenly mansions, and then, when the thousand years are finished, Heaven, New Jerusalem, comes down from God out of heaven, the wicked are resurrected and face the Great White Throne Judgment, after which God destroys the wicked and what is left of this earth with fire (2Pet.3:10), then Jesus, our Creator God creates a, "New Heavens and a New Earth" (2Pet.3:13; Rev.21:1), and at this time says to all of the Redeemed from all ages, "Come ye blessed of My Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the earth" (Matt. 25:34); if we accept and understand all of this, the confusion and un-answered questions will be gone. If we read Mathew 25 keeping all of this in mind, everything Jesus said about marriage in the next age makes perfect sense without having to reverse, revise, or revoke any Scripture prophecies about end times or the Millennial Kingdom.

Lets continue to pray for God's Spirit as we continue to study His Word. For a more detailed look at this question, see "Marriage in the Next Age"
